" Be the change you wish to see in the world."
- Gandhi

"Yoga is the breath of my life. Daily sretching softens my muscles to nourish hard working places in my body. Yoga heals pain from my scoliosis and strengthens my bones affected by osteoporosis. It opens up flexibility of body, mind, and spirit. It leads me toward deep inner peace. I am grateful every day for the gift of yoga and for the wonderful yoga friends at Yarmouth Yoga Studio. Thank you for making this possible." -- P.C.

"I originally came back to yoga for maintenance: to reacquaint a middle-aged body with the flexibility it had enjoyed in its youth. Over the last 15 years or so though, for me, the practice has evolved into a means and method for living, a way to mesh my heart, soul, body and mind, a practice that has allowed me both to complete rigorous teacher training and handle recurrent cancer.

"Yoga literally means union. Its objective is to help a person reach his or her fullest potential physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually while teaching that person to weave each of these threads into a whole and happy life. Yoga can be physically challenging if you want it to be. I can stand on my head and hands and twist myself into a pretzel. But because of illness there have also been times when I could barely stand on one foot and my yoga practice was still of assistance: by providing breathing methods, by being in a community, by bringing me ideas to consider. By teaching you to balance all your parts, yoga can make your life better no matter what shape you are in, what stage in your life you are at, or what stresses you may be facing."
